# What is KoreLab?
KoreLab is Italian cloud software for artisan food production management.
It helps food labs, bakeries, pasta makers, cheese makers and food brands
calculate food cost (CPF), manage recipes, allergens, nutritional values,
technical sheets and suppliers. It includes an AI assistant for PRO users.

# Core concepts
- CPF (Costo Prodotto Finito / Finished Product Cost): total production cost per unit including raw materials, labour, packaging and overheads
- Food cost %: ingredient cost as a percentage of selling price (sustainable threshold: 30–35%)
- Price cascading: automatic recalculation of all products when an ingredient price changes
- Semi-finished (SL): sub-recipes used as ingredients in other recipes
- Recipe normalization: standardizing quantities to 1 Kg base
- EU Reg. 1169/2011: European regulation requiring allergen and nutritional labelling

# KoreLab AI (Pro plan)
KoreLab AI is a built-in AI assistant for Pro users powered by Anthropic Claude.
It helps with: CPF calculation, food cost analysis, recipe management, EU allergen compliance,
HACCP guidance, supplier pricing, and how to use KoreLab features.
It automatically selects between a fast model (simple questions) and an advanced model (complex analysis).
Each Pro user has a €5/month token budget included in the plan.
